About

The Jain Society of Alberta (JSOA) is a not for profit Jain Cultural Organization, that brings together the Jain community in Edmonton and Alberta at large. In 1974, less than 5 families of Jain faith, got together to start the "Edmonton Jain Sangh"

In 2020 the Jain families in Edmonton have grown up to about 70 devoted families, and the faith group is growing in numbers with immigration happening from around the world.

The Jain Society of Alberta has the mandate to promote the understanding and practice of the Jain faith by its Members. It also performs a variety of community outreach programs, social events for JSOA members and invited guests from the community at large.

The Jain Society of Alberta is a member of the Federation of Jain Association in North America.
